It was reported that IJM Construction Sdn Bhd, a unit of IJM Corporation Berhad has been awarded a contract valued at RM484.2 millions from UEM Sunrise Berhad for several jobs at the mixed development project Almas at Puteri Harbour in Johor.
The job win will increase IJM Corp’s order book by about 7% from its current RM6.7bil, which is among the highest in the sector.
In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, IJM Corp said its wholly owned unit IJM Construction Sdn Bhd had accepted a letter of award from UEM Land for main building works at Phase 1A and Phase 1B of the development.
The company said the contract involved structural, architectural, mechanical and electrical, associated external and landscaping works.
For Phase 1A, the project includes a 34-storey tower, which is expected to be completed in 34 months, valued at RM240.35mil.
Phase 1B includes two blocks of office towers that will need 25 months to complete with a contract value of RM243.85mil.
