KUALA LUMPUR: A Resident Engineer fell to his death at an MRT construction site at Jalan Ipoh here.
The victim and three other workers were inspecting a T-beam at the site on Monday (Aug 5) when the incident occurred.
Sentul OCPD Asst Comm S. Shanmugamoorthy said the victim fell through a gap between the T-beam during the inspection.
“He fell 10m onto the road, and paramedics confirmed that the victim died on the spot due to head injuries, ” ACP Shanmugamoorthy said when contacted on Tuesday (Aug 6).
He added the police found no traces of foul play and classified the case as a sudden death.
“The body has been sent to the Kuala Lumpur Hospital for a post-mortem, ” he said.
