It was reported that a Bangladeshi construction worker died at a construction project at Jalan Delima 1/1, Subang Hitech Technology Park, Subang Jaya, Selangor.

Subang Jaya District Police chief ACP Muhammad Azlin Sadari said the incident occurred at 4.44pm when the victim and his friend wanted to return from work.

“The victim went through the first floor, suddenly the scaffold iron held down the floor collapse causing the victim to fall and continue to be deprived of the scaffolding iron and the cement floor that had not yet dried.

“After receiving an emergency call, a total of 18 members from the Selangor Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM) and Subang were rushed to the scene,” he said in a statement.

Meanwhile, Selangor Fire and Rescue Department Assistant Director Nurizham Mohd Nudin said the 43-year-old victim was known as Kassim.

According to Bernama’s report, Kassim, who fell from a height of 14 meters, found his body at 5.42pm and successfully released at 9.40pm.

The victim’s body was then sent to the University Malaya Medical Center for a post-mortem.
