It was reported that two foreign workers cheated death when a crane structure at a construction site in The Rainz Residence, Jalan Perwira 2, Overseas Union Garden (OUG), fell on them.
KL Fire and Rescue Department assistant director (operations) Azizan Ismail said the cable holding the crane structure snapped and fell on the two Bangladeshi workers.
“Both of them were injured. One victim sustained a broken leg while another’s arm was cut off,” said Azizan.
He added that the department was alerted about the incident at about 10.54am.
“Four firemen from Bukit Jalil fire station were deployed to the scene upon receiving the distress call,” said Azizan, adding that the victims have been taken to the University Malaya Medical Centre (UMMC) for further treatment.
